Enea Bastianini won the Qatar MotoGP last week at the Losail Circuit. This makes him a driver to be reckoned with in MotoGP 2022.
Previously, in the Pre-Season Test in Mandalika, Bastianini was only in 13th place. This result is only half a second different from Espargaro's best lap.
This Italian man admits that it will be difficult to repeat his victory at the Mandalika MotoGP this time.
“I can't wait to come to Indonesia soon. We come from an amazing race in Qatar, where I claimed my first win.
It will be difficult to do it again this time, but we definitely showed good speed during the test," Bastianini said, quoted from Crash.net on Tuesday (15/3/2022).
Regarding the Mandalika circuit track, which was separated and combined, Bastianini hopes that the coating can be completed soon.
"They should have finished lining some parts of the track, so I didn't know what to expect. Even the tires will be different compared to the test, but we have to continue to work in the same way as we have done until now."
His team mate Fabio di Giannantonio will also try his best to earn his first MotoGP points after finishing 17th in Qatar.
“We are back in an amazing place, where we also have so many supporters. It's always a great thing and it's important to get warm support from people and I'm sure it will be like this at Mandalika,” said Giannantonio.
Not only that, he also said that he wanted to continue learning so that he could continue to improve little by little in Mandalika.
“I came to Indonesia with a bit more experience on how to manage races, but obviously we are still in the early stages of our journey, we want to learn and we also want to do it in the right time frame.
The target is to keep improving little by little, and we can do that in Mandalika."

RNF Yamaha racer, Andrea Dovizioso is quite tense facing the Mandalika MotoGP which will be held March 18-20 2020 at the Mandalika circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. Many new things will be faced in the race later.

Dovizioso was also not good at pre-season at the Mandalika circuit. He was only in 19th position with a time difference of 0.830 seconds from the fastest racer.
When racing in the Qatar MotoGP, Dovi also only finished in 14th position. Like other racers, namely Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli, Dovi also faced problems with tire wear.
Although he said the Mandalika race would be strange, he still hoped for better results.
"After the difficult race in Qatar, I want a better result in Indonesia and try to avoid mistakes in the first series," said Dovizioso.
"Mandalika is a new circuit for all the drivers, for example new asphalt and new tires compared to the tests. It will be an unusual race. It's a very good track, I can't wait to race there!"
Meanwhile, Dovi's teammate, Darryn Binder also admitted that he was enthusiastic about welcoming the race at Mandalika. Unlike in Qatar, the former Moto3 racer has already experienced the Mandalika circuit in the pre-season test session.
"I'm very excited to go to Indonesia. I really enjoyed the test there. So it's nice to be back on a track that I've tried a few laps before with a MotoGP bike," he said.
