Especially since Pixel 6 and 6 Pro owners specifically complain that their mass of photos is the first part of the smartphone to suffer from wear. With a solid material, we can expect even more durability.
On the other hand, according to Youtubeur Marques Brownlee (also known as MKBHD), Google will keep the same type of glossy glass, passing on the idea of a matte coating again.
As for the rest of the design, the two phones look pretty close to the older ones, except that the two wide-angle and ultra-wide angle sensors will now be surrounded by a rectangular bubble, while the third in the Pro, perhaps a telephoto lens, is insulated in its own punch.
One thing is for sure, having shown the design so early should put an end to rumors about it. However, the front side was not shown during the show. Does this mean that Google has kept another revelation under its hat? We think, for example, of a front image sensor hidden under the screen. At the moment, there is no confirmation of this except for possibly a patent in August 2021.
Especially since the user posted pictures of what he claims is a prototype of the Pixel 7 in order to sell it on eBay. The supposed Pixel 7 already has a center punch.

The poor man naively thought he had a Pixel 6 Pro. In response: Google formatted the phone and made it malfunction, confirming that it might have been the popular model.
Three colors for each model
Another very important point, the first colors were shown (we imagine other colors may be revealed later) right after the conference.
For the Pixel 7, you can choose between black, white, and lemon yellow, while the Pixel 7 Pro comes in black, white, and grey-green.
Additionally, we note that the back of the phones is quite plain this time around. On the Pixel 6 we can detail two colors, one above the block and one below.
The Pixel 7 range should be based on Android 13. Google is also working to avoid a torrent of bugs that plagued the Pixel 6 when it was released.
TENSOR 2 has been confirmed
The second element that Google confirmed, the second generation of the internal SoC, Google Tensor 2, will equip the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro well. The chip will be manufactured by Samsung at 4nm.
Very good news since it's partly this chip that made previous models appealing, allowing custom algorithms for AI and photo and video to be managed at the top. However, we hope that Google will be keen on making its chips more powerful, as the first Tensor has clearly been experiencing significant lag, particularly in terms of graphics.
In the picture, why did the winning team change
Google has not committed to giving details about the photo components of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. According to leaker Yogesh Brar, the photo modules will be exactly the same as on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. A second leak in July 2022 confirms this preliminary information.
This wouldn't be too surprising on the part of the Mountain View company, which has kept the same sensors from the Pixel 2 to the Pixel 5, with a very convincing improvement perspective.

As you understand, despite the partial formalization of the Pixel 7 by Google, there are still quite a few gray areas on this phone. For example, we don't know the phone's charging power, even if we hope the latter will exceed 30W from the Pixel 6, which is very slow in 2022.
Regarding the battery, we do not have reliable information yet. We can simply imagine that Google will equate to 4,614 mAh in the Pixel 6 and 5,003 mAh in the Pixel 6 Pro.
Release date and price
Google announced the launch of the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro in the fall of 2022. For comparison, the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro were announced on October 19, 2021 to be available on October 25. According to FrontPageTech, the date will be brought up a bit with pre-orders from October 6th and an official release on the 13th.
Prices are currently unknown. The Pixel 6 was released at a very solid price compared to the competition. To see if Google is keeping the same strategy or not.
