Hugh Hefner's Wife Crystal Unveils the "Real" Her After Removing "Everything Fake" From Her Body
Hugh Hefner's third wife, Crystal, shared that she was "suffering internally" while posting NSFW pics for others and is ready to live for herself. "Modesty is what empowers me these days," she wrote.

Hugh Hefner's widow reflected on her changing mindset about her "Playboy years" and why she feels more "authentic" and "vulnerable" now than ever.
"Over five years, my account has shifted from not always safe for work posts to my REAL safe for work life," she wrote on Instagram on Monday, Jan. 10. "The real me. I was living for other people before, to make others happy, suffering internally in the process."
She noted that her Playboy persona and "certain" photos helped her gain fame on social media.
"In short, sex sells," Crystal, now 35, wrote. "I don't know whether I felt empowered by dressing scantily clad, showing cleavage, etc …or if I just felt it was expected of me or what… but now I can confidently and 100% proudly say, modesty is what empowers me these days, and because it feels so much better internally, it will probably be this way for the rest of my life."
In fact, she admitted that she has "removed everything fake from my body" and deleted her old photos, which has helped her feel "that I belong more to myself."

"As I made this transition, I always thought… 'Will my account survive?'" Crystal reflected. "I was watching the girls that had similar pages keep posting the same scantily clad stuff and growing exponentially while I tanked hard."
But she found that as she became more modest, her female following grew, making her feel like she has "an army of supporters" who see "an actual soul behind the lens."
"I feel that all the people here with me at this point actually care and are invested in my life in a positive way," wrote the model, who was married to Hugh from 2012 until his death in 2017.
"If you follow for insight into my past life, my new one, my travels, my health hurdles, lifestyle, you name it… thank you," she continued. "I will make it my mission to try and help in all ways that I can while staying true to myself. I hope all of you can stay true to yourself and to what feels right for you as well, because there's a certain power you get from that you can't find anywhere else. I love you."
During an interview with E!'s Daily Pop in September, Crystal explained that she's been "traveling and figuring out my life" ever since Hugh's death. At the time, she said that she found dating difficult: "It makes it hard dating now, because Hugh Hefner treated me so well and was so respectful and so kind to me... I'm trying to match that now."
Though this year will mark the fifth anniversary of Hugh's passing, his legacy lives on. Recently, stars including Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt have reflected on their relationship with the publisher and their Girls Next Door era. Judge Orders Kardashian-Jenners to Be Deposed in Blac Chyna Court Case
In court documents obtained by E! News, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian argued that the subpoenas should be quashed “because they present an unwarranted annoyance.”
UPDATE: Several members of the Kardashian-Jenner family will be deposed once again.
According to court documents obtained by E! News, Blac Chyna's legal team will be able to depose Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner as part of an assault and battery lawsuit that her ex Rob Kardashian filed against her in September 2017.
The court ruled against the family's motion to quash the deposition subpoenas; however, the depositions will be limited to two hours for each member.
"Chyna will be permitted to question all four individuals, despite their objection to the trial court that they are 'too busy running billion-dollar companies' to comply with Chyna's subpoenas," Chyna's attorney Lynne Ciani said in a statement to E! News. "The trial court agreed with Chyna that Kris, Kim, Khloe, and Kylie are not above the law and they must respond under oath to questions by her attorney."
E! News has reached out to attorneys for the Kardashian-Jenners and has not heard back.
Rob Kardashian's legal battle with Blac Chyna continues to be a family affair.
As a February 2022 trial looms of Rob's assault and battery allegations against his former fiancée, the mother of his young daughter, Dream Kardashian, has subpoenaed other members of the Kardashian-Jenner family to sit for further depositions as part of her defense strategy.
But attorneys for Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner filed court papers on Dec. 14 asking a Los Angeles judge to quash subpoenas requested by Chyna, whose real name is Angela White.
"The subpoenas must be quashed because they present an unwarranted annoyance, embarrassment, oppression, and undue burden on the Non-Parties who have already been examined exhaustively by Ms. White in the related matter," the Kardashian-Jenner attorneys argued in court documents obtained by E! News. "Ms. White has no basis for wanting to depose these Non-Parties again on the same issues, other than to harass and burden the Kardashians/Jenners and generate headlines forcing the Non-Parties to file this motion."
The attorneys added, "The court should reject Ms. White's misuse of the discovery process and quash the subpoenas."
Lawyers for Kris, Kim, Khloe and Kylie also argued that their clients are busy with business and professional commitments scheduled months in advance. As a result, it would be "excessively disruptive and burdensome to force their additional depositions to take place on such short notice."
